Portable staging yard to represent Birdsboro and Reading. I was designed to quickly beak into three pieces to put up for a staging yard when there was a formal op session. When I moved to the new space, the two yard pieces were put up “permanently” to serve as Reading/Birdsboro staging. The benchwork is made of 1/4″ plywood to make it very light. The sections are 5 1/2 feet long. Why such and odd length? On the previous layout, the legs were set at 6 ft apart, so I wanted the yard sections to be able to fit t between the layout legs for storage between op sessions. The yard has 7 tracks and turntable at the far end that accesses all the tracks.
